Dennis Dannehl was born and raised in Oklahoma, after high school and working a year for Amaco research centers photography department he decided to go to Brooks Institute of photography in Santa Barbara, California.

He graduated from Brooks in 1980 and assisted various advertising photographers in Los Angeles and New York before going on his own and starting Dennis Dannehl Studio's in 1984. He has worked on everything from annual reports, packaging and collateral to advertising.

Dennis lives in Los Angeles with his wife, artist, stylist Sande Dannehl, they have two children enjoy everything outdoors, including his quest to catch and release the next world record Largemouth Bass.
